This weekend was a whirlwind. Does anyone else feel like the weekend was too short? On Friday I drug Ryan to see Girl on the Train at my favorite theater, Look. I know he wasn't too thrilled about this movie but he sucked it up and took me on date night to see the movie I have been dying to see since reading the book. Once we got out of the movie we headed for the bathrooms. I was waiting patiently outside on my phone when a man walks near me and asks if someone would take a picture
of him and one of the theater employees. At first my mind was like why does he want a picture with this girl... then it all clicked and I realized it was Chace Crawford aka Nate Archibald from Gossip Girl! I had to contain my 16 year old self. Still not fully recovered from seeing him I go and round the corner only to grab Ryan's arm practically yelling OMG that is Tony Romo (QB for the Dallas Cowboys). Apprently their ladies also drag them to movies! I have now convinced Ryan that we should go to these types of movies more often, you never know who also might be there with their significant other.

Saturday I played catch up with one of my favorite friends. I cannot believe that we met a year ago when we were stylists. I cannot imagine having this woman in my life, she has really been there for me when I needed someone. We have been through a lot together this past year and I am so thankful for her.
We grabbed brunch at Penne Pomodoro and then went shopping at Snyder Plaza. I got some super cute things that will be hitting the blog soon- so stay tuned. Since the day was beautiful we decided to head downtown to The Crescent to sit on the patio of Palomino. The Palomino is one of my favorite hidden gems in Dallas, if you sit in the bar/patio you can have happy hour prices on their bar menu all day!! It also makes for great people watching.

My penny dress! perfect for my God Daughters baptism next week! |
After a quick bite of gorgonzola fries we headed to Nordstrom Rack where I scored a Trina Turk dress for $0.01!! You read that right a penny! Recently I read an article about the 1 cent penny myth at NR... well turns out it isn't a myth it's true. This is the second item I have found that has been a penny. Whenever they have old inventory that the skew isn't recognized anymore it automatically goes to a penny, these items are supposed to be re-skewed or sent back but every now and again they get missed and you get a hell of a deal!
Sunday was spent at home and then Ryan and I headed to our neighbors to watch the rangers game! It was so great catching up with some more friends I haven't seen in a while and seeing my beautiful God daughter is always a bonus! I really didn't want the weekend to end, but today marked my official "first full" day at Hard Night Good Morning!! So wish me luck!
I hope you all have a great week.
