Tunic Style

Have you ever had one of those days where it was so cold and rainy outside that the last thing you wanted to do was get out of bed and go to work?!  Well, that was me at 7:30 this morning.  Luckily after a hot shower and some tea I was able to convince myself that playing in clothes at work was actually a lot better than staying in bed.  I got myself ready and stared blankly at my closet trying to find an outfit that was cozy but also effortless.  

Enter my new go-to tunic from the cutest online retailer Sojourn Boutique-that just so happens to be run by my high school friends Kristin!  This thing is so cozy and soft, wearing it is like snuggling in a blanket.  That isn't even the best part, not only is this the perfect staple to have in your closet for the colder months it is also budget friendly, like under $30.00 budget friendly.  I honestly cannot wait to wear this top again, I am going to wear it under my shearling vest I just got for a cozy-casual look perfect for running errands on the weekend! 

To combat the cold weather I paired the tunic with my FAVORITE ponte leggings that tuck perfectly into booties (if you are in search of leggings that suck you in and give you the greatest legs and butt then you need these in your life), in the winter they are my MUST HAVE for under tunics and dresses.

I am always on the hunt for closet staples that can pull an outfit together.  One of my favorite pieces to do that with is a blazer.  It is such an easy way to dress up jeans or tone down a dress simply by adding one thing...and can we say way cuter than a bulky jacket.

Since I knew I had work followed by the Happiest hour happy hour to celebrate my friends birthday, I wanted something that could easily transition from work to weekend!  Enter my standard night out uniform.  Favorite dark wash skinnies + cute top + Blazer = Uniform.  I am so excited to have found this blazer with the sequin trim in a clean white, it adds a little bit of interest without being all 100% NYE bash style outfit.  Sadly right as I walked in the door my little mud bucket known as Ava decided to jump on my pristine white jacket completely changing my go to outfit... Thank god for black cape blazers, I used it as my backup!
